Buying the Best Home Gym Equipment – A Challenging Task

January 5th, 2011

Are you planning to buy gym equipment for your home? If yes, before you go out and make a costly purchase, ask yourself if you will be committed to using it once you get it home and set it up. Buying the best home gym equipment involves a significant financial investment; you want to be sure that you are purchasing the right equipment for your home. In addition to this, you want to be certain that your choice is something you enjoy or that you can learn to enjoy. Otherwise, your fitness gear will probably join the ranks of the other used equipments that fill classified ad listings and second-hand retailers.

It a big challenge to choose the best home gym equipment amidst all the wild claims made about different exercise equipment in the market. You will come across numerous products in the market that make outlandish promises about the machine. Be skeptical of any outrageous claims made about the exercise equipment. However, the most devastating aspects of these crazy promises are the resulting disappointment that people experience.

So, where do you start when pricing out home gym equipment in Canada. This is where the internet comes into the picture and is highly beneficial. By sitting in front of the computer you can initiate self research to analyze the ideal price for machines. It is a good idea to make a close comparison between the various models of the exercise equipment. Apart from the price, focus your evaluations on one that is designed for a whole body workout. This is because in most homes, space is a big criteria. Once you put your hand on the equipment that is in your budget and fulfill all your requirements, it is time to make the purchase.

This equipment is there to help you in achieving the health and fitness goals you always wanted. The major factor of having home gym equipment Canada is the convenience. It is more easy to use. You can also get it upgraded if you wish after some time. But the most important is to set up a program and maintain small goals. Over time these goals will be achieved and they will be one step closer to their desired physique.

11 Best Home Gym Equipment

December 16th, 2010

I am often asked what the best home gym equipment is to do workouts at home.

This is a great question – one whose answer is often wrongly perceived.

Many people I have consulted who are looking to lose weight and increase their fitness by doing home workouts think that they have to have those expensive and bulky pieces of equipment that take up a ton of room in their home.

That is simply not true.

You CAN purchase a treadmill, a stationary bike, a Bowflex, or Olympic weight set and racks. But those things are rarely the best for losing weight and increasing your fitness. But they are expensive, take up a ton of room in your home, and will most likely double as a clothes rack within a few short weeks.

The good news is that there are smaller and less expensive pieces of equipment that are best for home workouts.

In fact, if you are penny pinching these days (and who isn’t) you can get away without buying any equipment at all.

Nothing – doing versatile bodyweight exercises and bodyweight cardio makes for spectacular home gym workouts, especially if you are a beginner or have been doing a lot of strength training with weights.

Here are the 11 best home gym equipment:

Dumbbells – no light weights, ladies. Play with the big boys and use a weight you can lift only about 8 times. Kettlebells – LOVE them! Functional and great for cardio intervals and strength building. Stability ball – outstanding for core work, balance training, and making all bodyweight exercises even more challenging. TRX suspension system Resistance bands Rebounder – non impact cardio. Jump rope Battling ropes – for using your upper body to do cardio intervals. Gym Boss Interval Timer – to time your cardio intervals. Medicine balls Foam roller – for doing self myofacial release. Now obviously, you can buy all of the best home gym equipment or just one or two to get you started.

You can add a new piece of equipment to your home gym workouts whenever you want to. And the good news is that most of this stuff can be tucked away under the bed or stored in a closet.

My personal favorites are the stability ball, kettlebells, interval timer, and foam roller. So, pick up any or all of these best home gym equipment and you can get a great home gym equipment in cheap and conveniently.
